Talking ’bout Marty, y’all!

Marty is a middle-aged gent who’s hard of hearing. That’s okay though, ’cause he’s smart (smart like a dog!) and is learning hand signals. You can talk to him in doggie sign, how cool is that? Impress your friends and improve Marty’s quality of life all in one!

Marty’s being cared for by Kansas City Sheltie Rescue until his new human comes along. If you think that might be you, you can meet Marty most weekends at the Petco on W. 75th Street in Overland Park. Keep reading for the details!

Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie: An adoptable dog in Mission, KS
Small • Adult • Male

Marty came to rescue from a local shelter where his time was up. He is small, active, and our vet thinks around 8 years of age. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped and has had his canine flu shot. He has some hearing loss and is learning to function using hand signals. He is smart, affectionate and pretty active for a dog of his age. He is working on house training. Email us if you can make Marty a part of your life.

We require a secure fenced yard, we do not accept “invisible” or electric fences. We will check your fence. All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested and on prevention, on Flea & Tick prevention and microchipped. Dentals are completed as needed. You may meet our dogs at Petco on W. 75th Street, just East of Metcalf in Overland Park, KS on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 10 to 2 and the 1st Sunday of the month from 11 to 3 or by Appointment. We DO NOT SHIP our dogs.
